Welcome to WLWTV - WeLoveWisconsin.com. Our mission is to celebrate the great state of Wisconsin and
its many offerings for both residents and visitors using a unique approach:
an online "virtual" television network allowing users to view
informative and entertaining video programs of interest at any time they desire and from any location with broadband access to the Internet.
Who created WLWTV - WeloveWisconsin.com? WLWTV was created by AreteVision, an entrepreneurial technology group that has created an online television network promoting tourism, education, culture and business in the state of Wisconsin. Our product has been 3 years in design and development. It was launched a year ago and has been in a state of continuous refinement and promotion since that time.
What are we offering? An opportunity for organizations and businesses to air video programs on the web promoting their offerings to customers within and outside Wisconsin using a new and unique approach.
What's the purpose? The economy in general, and the hospitality business in particular, is currently being challenged in this state and we may be facing a less than spectacular summer. With dwindling marketing budgets, businesses must select carefully where they place their advertising dollars. We decided to offer an outstanding method of promotion, using an unique and effective presentation vehicle, at an affordable price.
What is different or unique about our web site? Everything is different. In fact, we don't consider ourselves a web site, so much as an online television network that airs programs over the Internet (rather than over the conventional airwaves or cable TV). In fact, our original design includes a plan to create travel kiosks for tourism centers throughout the state which air on-demand video programs on touch screen kiosks that are interconnected using a statewide Intranet.
How does it work. We take your videos you've already paid many dollars to have produced and air them on our network. We create an outstanding presentation of your videos by grouping them together in the form of continuously running "programs" using our technology. They are displayed on the screen in relatively large size so users have an enjoyable and engaging viewing experience. Along with your video programs are critical links to your web site so users are always only one click away from your site including your contact information, picture, logo, map, brochures, etc. A picture tells the story better than an explanation so we've included below a "screen shot" of one of the programs created for the Fox Cities Wisconsin Convention and Visitors Bureau. Once our organization's video channel is created and online, what else do we have to do? Nothing, unless you change something on your channel such as replace a video segment in your program(s) or update your contact information or change a web link, as examples. Otherwise, your program airs on demand 24 hours a day to anyone, anywhere with a computer and broadband Internet access.
May we have more than one video in a program airing on WLWTV at WeLoveWisconsin.com? Yes, that's the whole point: we allow you to group together individual videos into continuously running programs. But, if you only have one video to air, that's fine, too, and many of our customers air only a single video program.
May we have more than one program which airs on our channel? Yes.
May I choose the order the videos will play in my programs? Yes, in fact, you will be requested to provide this information to us for us to create your programs.
May a user choose specific video segments to play in a program without having to watch the whole presentation? Yes, we have a user selection screen for that purpose, see below. If you don't see a picture, please click here . In the screen pictured below, the user simply clicks on the picture of interest and only that selected video segment will play.
I only see pictures for six (6) video segments in the screen shot for the Fox Cities program above. There is a scroll bar to see more rows of pictures. Just move it down with your mouse or use the scroll-wheel. After scrolling down, it looks as shown in the screen shot below. If you don't see a picture, please click here.
What happens when one video segment in the program ends? The next video segment in the program starts automatically after a short pause. For example after the Downtown Appleton video segment ends, the Fox Cities Holiday Shopping video segment begins. After this video segment plays, the Fox Cities Sports video will start, and so on. In all, there are currently nine video segments in the Fox Cities program. How do we provide you with our video to air on WLWTV? There are two ways:
Do you host our videos on your web site? We will host your video on our web servers, if you desire, for an additional charge, however there are many places on the Web where you can host your video for free (such as on YouTube.com). Our technology and mission is to present your videos organized into programs on your own dedicated channel on our television network. We encourage you to host your videos on your own web site so you will have complete control over them and your web site developer can update and change them at will. We create your video channel based on our technology which embeds your existing hosted videos on our network and (as stated earlier), we combine one or more of your videos into continuously running programs with our unique technology.
How do people arrive at WeLoveWisconsin.com to watch WLWTV programs? By simply launching their web browser and going to WeLoveWisconsin.com to arrive at the main channel selector screen as pictured below. If you don't see a picture, please click here.
Can I provide a link on my website to my program on WLWTV? Yes, in fact, we highly encourage you to do so. Also, we advise sharing the link to your channel to as many of your potential customers as possible. In addition, we suggest putting your link in your email signatures and on your marketing materials. How much does it cost?
